TRANSPORTATION MANAGER

About the Role:

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Transportation Manager to join our team. The Transportation Manager will be responsible for overseeing all aspects of our transportation operations, including the management of drivers, vehicles, and logistics processes.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of transportation operations, including the management of drivers, vehicles, and logistics processes.
• Develop and implement transportation policies and procedures to ensure efficient and cost-effective transportation operations.
• Plan and coordinate daily transportation schedules and routes to ensure the timely delivery of goods.
• Monitor and manage transportation expenses, including fuel, maintenance, and insurance costs.
• Hire, train, and manage a team of drivers, ensuring that all drivers are knowledgeable of transportation policies and procedures and adhere to all safety regulations.
• Communicate with customers to resolve any transportation-related concerns and ensure customer satisfaction.
• Maintain accurate records of transportation activities and inventory levels.
• Stay informed of industry trends and regulations, and make recommendations for improvements to transportation operations.
• Work closely with the sales and operations teams to ensure that all shipments are made according to customer requirements.

Requirements:

• Undergraduate degree in Supply Chain Management, Logistics, or a closely connected domain.
• 5+ years of experience in transportation management.
• Excellent leadership and management skills.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.
• Ability to work well in both solo projects and team environments.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
• Excellent problem-solving and decision-making skills.
• Strong understanding of transportation operations, including routing, scheduling, and fleet management.
• Familiarity with transportation management software and technologies.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to multitask.
