TEXTILE DESIGNER

About the Role:

We require a creative, talented and experienced Textile Designer to join our team. The ideal candidate should have a passion for design and a strong understanding of the textile industry. As a Textile Designer, you will be responsible for creating unique and innovative textile designs that meet the needs of our clients.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with the product development team to understand client needs and design requirements.
• Create original and innovative textile designs that meet the needs of our clients.
• Develop and maintain an up-to-date knowledge of trends and advancements in the textile industry.
• Stay current with market trends and colour palettes to ensure that designs are relevant and appealing to the target audience.
• Present designs to clients for approval and make any necessary revisions based on feedback.
• Work with the product development team to ensure that designs are executed correctly and meet quality standards.
• Simultaneously handle a variety of projects and ensure their meeting of deadlines.

Requirements:

• Candidates with an undergraduate degree in Textile Design or an akin field only need to apply.
• A minimum of 3 years of hands-on experience in textile design is mandatory.
• Strong understanding of textile construction and techniques.
• Excellent eye for colour, pattern, and texture.
• Proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite, specifically Illustrator and Photoshop.
• Strong presentation and communication skills.
• Capable of excelling both individually and as part of a collaborative team.
• Must have the ability and willingness to work under pressure and accomplish projects within deadlines.
