SUPPLY CHAIN MANAGER

About the Role:

Key Responsibilities:

• Plan supply chain management strategies that could improve customer satisfaction, cost-effectiveness, and efficiency and execute them as needed.
• Keep a close watch on the shipping, receiving, and storage of goods and ensure safety and efficiency in all areas.
• Prepare budgets for supply chain activities, ensuring effective utilization of resources.
• Oversee the entire processes involved in the supply chain management of goods such as sourcing, procurement, logistics, shipment, and delivery.
• Build a professional rapport with suppliers, freight forwarders, carriers, and other logistics agents involved in the operation and negotiate contracts ensuring the best service and pricing.
• Evaluate the figures and metrics of supply chain management on a regular basis and devise plans for improvements.
• Maintain total adherence to the rules and regulations pertaining to the procurement, storage, transportation, and handling of goods.

Requirements:

• Degree in Supply Chain Management or Logistics Management.
• Should have excellent people management skills and be able to work in a team environment.
• 3+ years of experience working in logistics and supply chain management.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Must have excellent team management skills and leadership qualities.
• Should be able to make quick and independent decisions at times.
• Demonstrate strong communication skills – oral and written.
• Dedicated to meeting tight deadlines and working under pressure.
