SITE MANAGER

About the Role:

We have an opportunity for a Site Manager to work on a new construction project. As a Site Manager, each day of your work will be different. You will be accountable for ensuring the safety of the site as well as the timely organisation of the work within the stipulated budget.

Key Responsibilities:

• Supervise and manage construction activities on the job site.
• Ensure all workers' compliance with building codes and safety regulations.
• Coordinate subcontractors and workers and plan construction activities.
• Identify and solve any issues that arise on the job site.
• Schedule projects and keep track of their progress.
• Evaluate the quality control of construction activities performed on the job site, and ensure their adherence to the specified quality standards.
• Collaborate with the project manager, engineers and the client.
• Communicate the up-to-date status of the project as well as any changes in the work immediately with the concerned stakeholders.
• Document all site activities accurately. Keep records of the labour cost as well as usage of equipment and materials.
• Manage any unexpected issues as they occur and take steps to fix them immediately.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field.
• Proven experience as a Site Manager in the construction industry, with a strong track record of successful projects.
• Knowledge of construction procedures and building codes.
• Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to manage teams and work effectively with a variety of stakeholders.
• Excellent problem-solving and quick decision-making skills.
• Proficiency in using project management software such as Primavera or Microsoft Project.
• Strong communication and negotiation skills.
