About the Role:
We have an opening for a Safety Manager to join our construction team. The ideal candidate for this role will have a strong background in safety management in the construction domain and will be responsible for ensuring a safe environment of work.
Key Responsibilities:
- Ensure adherence to safety standards and regulations issued by the National Safety Council at the work sites.
- Carry out safety programs and policies that enhance everyone's safety at work.
- Educate the employees and other stakeholders about the safety procedures and policies.
- Ensure that safety is given the first priority in every aspect and phase of the construction projects.
- Identify potential hazards through regular inspections and implement measures to address them.
- In case of an accident or incident, investigate the causes and scenarios carefully and document them.
- Document all safety programs conducted such as training, inspections, and any occurrence of incidents.
- Research new technologies and advancements in workplace safety management and incorporate them into the projects.
Requirements:
- Undergraduate degree in Construction Management, Safety Management, or a related discipline.
- Minimum 4 years of experience with safety management in a construction setting is preferred.
- Be a team player and able to work in cross-functional teams in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment.
- In-depth knowledge of the National Safety Council's regulations.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
- Should be able to work independently and make decisions.
- Expertise in safety management software and Microsoft Office.
