About the Role:
The Construction Project Manager is responsible for overseeing A-Z tasks behind a construction project and ensuring the successful delivery of the project on time. This is an intermediate-level role which also requires you to document reports and associate with the stakeholders.
Key Responsibilities:
- Evaluate the project and design schedules and plans.
- Define the scope of the project, underlying tasks, and the deliverables.
- Monitor every aspect of the project from start to finish.
- Manage budget and ensure that the project finishes within the allocated budget.
- Ensure proper resource allocation for the project.
- Form cross-functional teams including stakeholders, contractors, architects, engineers, and other professionals and coordinate to deliver the project successfully.
- Have a clear understanding of the safety regulations and building codes and ensure their strict compliance.
- Keep close track of the progress and milestones and keep the stakeholders informed about the same.
- Identify major risks and issues with the project once they emerge and implement measures to resolve them.
- Deal with any change orders in the project and convince the stakeholders about it.
- Ensure timely completion of the projects, meeting the highest quality standards within the allocated budget.
Requirements:
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management or a related field.
- More than two years of experience in construction project management with a track record of successful projects is preferred.
- Thorough knowledge of building codes.
- Expertise in construction procedures.
- Excellent interpersonal, negotiation and leadership skills.
- Strong multitasking skills and ability to manage multiple teams and stakeholders simultaneously.
- Quick decision-making and excellent problem-solving skills.
- Experience with management software, such as Primavera and Microsoft Project.
- Strong oral and written communication skills.
