LOGISTICS MANAGER

About the Role:

We currently have an opening for a Logistics Manager to join our team. This role will require you to lead our entire logistics operations. You will be accountable for overseeing our logistics team, designing pragmatic logistics strategies and effectuating them and ensuring a smooth flow of products.

Key Responsibilities:

• Monitor the activities of our logistics team and provide them with timely assistance and guidance in executing responsibilities successfully.
• Design logistic strategies that will enable economic and cost-effective shipment of goods.
• Ensure the safety of employees as well as goods during the shipping and storage phases.
• Negotiate and arrive at reasonable pricing for services with logistics providers, suppliers and carriers.
• Liaise with all involved parties and stakeholders to ensure the highest quality of services.
• Maintain a strong and professional rapport with suppliers and customers.
• Strive to win customer loyalty and satisfaction.
• Compare logistics metrics and data from time to time and suggest recommendations that could improve the operations.
• Prepare budgets and plans for implementing logistical activities and ensure the effective use of resources during this process.
• Adhere to the rules and regulations during the transportation, shipment, and handling of goods.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's degree in Logistics or Business.
• 3+ years of experience in logistics management.
• Demonstrate excellent team management and leadership skills.
• Demonstrate strong oral and written communication skills and people skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
• Should be able to work effortlessly in a team and flexible to work independently at times.
• Be willing to work under pressure, attain periodical targets, and meet deadlines.
