CONTRACTOR

About the Role:

We are seeking an experienced Contractor to join our construction team. An ideal candidate for this role will be responsible for ensuring the execution of the construction activities as per clients' requirements and budgets. They will ensure that materials coming to the construction sites meet the highest quality standards and reach the site on time.

Key Responsibilities:

• Oversee every aspect of the construction such as planning, budgeting, scheduling and implementing.
• Ensure successful delivery of the project through regular liaising with engineers, architects, labourers and other professionals involved in the project.
• Ensure timely completion of the project and engage sub-contractors and suppliers if necessary to meet the deadlines.
• Carry out ongoing assessment of risk factors within the project and take proactive measures to mitigate or prevent their occurrence.
• Closely monitor and ensure the project's adherence to the local building codes, industry standards and client specifications.
• Inspect the work-in-progress on a regular basis and verify that quality control on the construction site is met without failure.
• Keep the client informed about the project status and clarify their concerns and queries.
• Prepare and manage project budgets and schedules, and ensure that projects are completed on time and within the budget.

Requirements:

• 4 or more years of experience in project management in the construction industry.
• Excellent management and leadership skills.
• Be a good team leader who can motivate the members to achieve the targets.
• Thorough knowledge of building codes, construction procedures and industry standards.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with engineers, labourers, clients and other stakeholders.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines without failure.
• A passion for solving problems and making quick decisions.
• Experience with project management software such as Microsoft Project or Buildertrend.
